The Rippin' Reptiles 4-H Club is a unique club open to Central Oregon kids grades K through 12 who have reptiles. The club meets about once a month, and most events are field trips to visit various reptile experts and reptile-related events within the community. Some past events include: visiting hobbyist reptile keepers, a reptile rescue, a museum, a snake breeder, a reptile expo, displaying their animals at the annual 4-H small animal show and spending the night at the local reptile store. The club also participates in at least one fundraiser and one community service event per year, and the kids have the opportunity to enter their project reptiles in the Deschutes County Fair each summer. The club is featured on this website, because I am one of the leaders of the club, my sons are both members, and we want to promote 4-H, which is a wonderful nation-wide youth organization. Henderson Herpetoculture is proud to lend both time and financial support to this fine group of young herpetology enthusiasts.

The 4-H kids and their parents had fun showing a variety of critters to the public. There were lots of snakes, lizards and even cockroaches on dislpay.
A variety of cute little reptiles and amphibians came to trick-or-treat the Rippin' Reptiles 4-H Club's Halloween reptile display. Aren't they cute little herps?
